WHIP-IT WEDNESDAY: JUSTIN BARCIA 2009

Justin Barcia throws one in Millville. 

Justin Barcia was a 250 rookie coming into 2009. After a dynamic amateur career, where he took four titles at Loretta Lynns, Barcia signed with Geico Honda. Two races into the AMA National season, Barcia was able to get a second place finish at Hangtown in the first moto. Nine races later he would land his first career win (Southwick). A fifth overall in the championship was a pretty good start. While Barcia has yet to earn an AMA Outdoor National, he has been successful in Supercross–winning the 2011 and 2012 250 East titles. He finished second overall in the 2012 AMA National season. It was his last year before moving to the 450 class with factory Honda.
