YAMAHA TWO-STROKE MOTOCROSS KIT: TURN YOUR YZ125/250 INTO A YZ250F LOOK-A-LIKE

The major pieces that had to be built special for the kit are the new gas tank, subframe and front fender (with mounting holes that fit the stock clamps). Many of the other parts are from a Yamaha YZ250F or aftermarket companies.

VdLaar Racing is located in the “SoCal of Western Europe” (with a high concentration of motocross tracks, race shops, trainers and riders). Within a 40-mile range are Twin Air, WP suspension, VHM, Putoline and the Valkenswaard, Lierop and Lommel GP tracks.

VdLaar Racing is owned by Peter Van De Laar, a fan of Yamaha two-strokes. With Van De Laar’s shop situated right next to the Wolfsbosch-Circuit in Gemert, research and development is as easy as rolling out the shop doors. After a lot of developing and testing (and finding the right partners to work with), Van de Laar Racing have completed their kit that transforms a Yamaha YZ125 or YZ250 two-stroke into a modern looking Yamaha.

This is a stock 2012 Yamaha YZ250 two-stroke.

The looks of the two-stroke haven’t been updated since 2002 (nine years ago). The VdLaar Racing kit allows riders to install 2011 YZ250F plastic on the YZ125 or YZ250. The kit includes everything you will need.
