ZACH OSBORNE TO RACE GNCC OFF-ROAD WHILE 2020 PRO MOTOCROSS REMAINS A QUESTION

We heard rumors about the Supercross finale 450 Main Event winner Zach Osborne being interested in racing GNCC this summer and now it is confirmed that he will indeed race this weekend at the High Voltage GNCC at the Lilly Family Farm in Maidsville, West Virginia. With the 2020 Pro Motocross season being post posted even further, no official dates locked in and the government continuing to enforce lock downs, many people are questioning whether or not the series will be able to run. Instead of waiting around, Zach Osborne is pulling an audible and getting back into off-road again for the first time since he raced the ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) in 2013. Zach will contest in the XC1 (450 Pro) class at the High Voltage GNCC this and he will be filling in for Rockstar Husqvarna’s star GNCC rider Thad Duvall.

Zach has stated in interviews previously that he hopes to continue racing motocross for a long time and after he retires he has mentioned ideas of racing off-road events like this one. Considering that Zach is fresh off his first ever 450 Supercross Main Event win, we don’t think he will be retiring from Supercross and motocross anytime soon. However, off-road racing is definitely on his radar and we know he’s excited to mix it up in the woods again. Read Zach’s words below:

Looking forward to a change of pace and a unique opportunity that this unique time has provided for me. Grateful that @rockstarhusky has me covered no matter what sort of dirt bike racing it is and @husqvarnamotorcyclesusa has a tool for everything! Should be a fun weekend!”

Rockstar Husqvarna posted: “Zach Osborne to contest GNCC round eight. Following on from his winning ride at the final event of this year’s Supercross Championship, Zach will try his hand at something a little different as he takes on the XC1 class in West Virginia this weekend. No stranger to offroad, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing star has claimed several XC2 250 Pro class podiums in the past and represented the USA at the iconic ISDE. Good luck @zacho_16”
