Two-wheel-drive Rokon.

Dear MXA,
    Why doesn’t Honda make a twin-cylinder, two-wheel-drive motocross bike and blow every one away. Why do the manufacturers shy away from the most obvious technology?

    There is one really good reason. Under AMA Pro Racing rules, all motorcycles must be driven by rear wheel transmitted power only and twin-cylinder engines are banned. These AMA rules may seem anti-technology, but they are there to preserve a sensible cost of equipment and keep practical maintenance at a tolerable level.
