Dear MXA,
I crashed and bent the radiator on my Yamaha YZ450F. The radiator didn’t leak, but it was slightly twisted. Since it wasn’t leaking I applied some brute force to straighten it out. Guess what? Then it leaked up by the tank. I priced a new radiator at $340, but there has to be a cheaper fix. I live in Rancho Cucamonga. Help!

We have had good luck with Fontana Radiator Service at 17635 Arrow Blvd. in Fontana, California. That is less than 10 miles from Rancho Cucamonga. Or you could ship your radiator to them. For more info call (909) 854-3970. They repaired a radiator for us that was leaking between the tank and core for $70 and even rewelded all of the junctures (prices will vary with how much damage has incurred). They work on all kinds of radiators (cars, trucks, tractors and big rigs), but normally set Wednesday aside for fixing aluminum motorcycle radiators, so if you get it to them early in the week you will have it back by the weekend.
