AUSTIN FORKNER AND RJ HAMPSHIRE OUT FOR HOUSTON 3

Heading into the third round of the Monster Energy Supercross season, Austin Forkner and Rj Hampshire looked to be real contenders for the championship hunt. However Austin and Rj have both been plagued with crashes this season and unfortunately for the two riders, they will not be lining up for Houston 3. For the Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider, Austin Forkner ended up going over the bars after executing two triples and coming up short on the landing going into a turn. Austin got up quickly but it was apparent that something was wrong when Austin immediately grabbed his arm and showed to be in great pain.

Rj Hampshire suffered his crash early on in his practice session after endoing on a jump. It is unclear as to what is injured as he heads to the hospital but unfortunately, the 24 of Rj Hampshire will not be lining up on the gate tonight. It is a bummer to see these two riders out of that championship hunt as both were real contenders for the podium and kept the rest of the 250 field on their toes. Hopefully they are out only for a race and not the rest of the season and we will provide updates on their injuries.

Rj and Austin both were two top contenders in the 250 East Championship.
