AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINALE: MOSS & STYKE ARE THE CHAMPS DOWN UNDER

Mat Moss.

After ten rounds, Matt Moss clinched the 2013 Australian National Motocross Championship, with a third overall in Coolum. Moss went 1-9. Moss becomes the first Suzuki rider to win the Aussie 450 crown since Daryl Hurley back in 2005. Todd Waters took the 450 overall at Coolum with a 3-1 and finished the 2013 season 16 points behind Moss. Waters has signed a deal to race for the new Husky GP team in 2014 in Europe and will be on the Aussie MXDN team later this month. Brit Billy Mackenzie, a former GP rider, was second on the day with a 2-2 and third in the series.

Luke Styke.

In the 250 class Luke Styke won his ninth overall victory of the. Styke had already clinched the 250 Championship before going to Collum. Brock Winston got second at Coolum with a 2-2 finishes and secured third in the series behind Styke and Kale Makeham. Makeham, riding a KTM 250SX two-stroke, finished third at Coolum and second in the series.

The Australian Supercross series starts in two weeks in Darwin.
