BAYLE TO RACE GLEN HELEN–APRIL 9

Jean-Michel Bayle came to America over the winter to help Sebastien Tortelli prepare for this years Supercross season, but once the season started Bayle signed on with Team Suzuki as a test rider. Bayle has been riding the works Suzukis during the week to help Windham and Pastrana with settings.

During the test sessions, Bayles lap times were more than competitive and the idea was brought up that perhaps JMB might want to race the Glen Helen 250 National in May. The former 250, Supercross and 500 National Champion is thinking it over (Bayle won all three classes in 1991).

Since retiring from motocross at the end of 1992, Bayle has spent the last nine years trying to make it as a road racer. Unfortunately, Bayle suffered a serious head injury that curtailed his 500 GP program. This year he raced for Suzukis endurance road race team–thus the connection to Team Suzuki. Bayle and Suzuki will make their minds up by next week.
