BEST IN THE PITS | 2021 SALT LAKE CITY SUPERCROSS 1

The 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season has finally reached its final destination of the 17 rounds, stopping at Salt Lake City, Utah, for the last two rounds of the season. The championship is coming down to the wire in all classes but now on Saturday, we see the return of the 250 East Coast class where Christian Craig and Colt Nichols will duke it out once again before the East/West Coast showdown the following weekend. In the 450 class, Cooper Webb has extended his lead once again with a victory the weekend prior in Atalanta. Now, Ken Roczen is running out of time to make it happen for the 2021 450 SX title. MXA’s Travis Fant was scouting the pits for all the cool factory bikes that were on display as the mechanics prepare for the 16th round of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season. Scroll down below to see the sights of the Salt Lake City 1 Supercross pits and stay tuned to Motocross Action as we bring all the race coverage and action happening this weekend.

The KTM Juniors squad is in full force heading into the weekend.
Eli Tomac’s bike is already prepped for the 16th round. The championship might be out of the question for Eli, but we do expect him to do fairly well since the 2020 champ has an advantage when it comes to racing at higher elevation.
The mechanic’s go-kart for Eli is also ready for the weekend.
ShaneMcElrath’s bike still waiting for the rider’s return.
Aaron Plessinger and several other riders have teamed up with an artist known as Bee G Creations where he’s provided them with fun illustrations and art throughout the entire season. Pretty cool to see Aaron get one of the designs painted on his Alpinestars lid.
Dylan Ferrandis’s bike missing its front two teeth.
Oh there’s one of them.
Muc-Off Honda’s overhang slightly resembling Calico Ghost Town before it became a tourist attraction.
Scrubbing down the awning before the dust flys again.
Joey Savatgy’s bike possibly getting a fresh set of ODI grips.
Malcolm Stewart currently sits seventh in the points even after having a scary get-off in Atlanta.
Often times the drivers of the semi-trucks cook up some of the most delicious “homemade” meals. The KTM grease bucket is a nice touch.
Pierce Brown’s race bike being unloaded from the trailer.
The Star Yamaha crew has their bikes ready to keep their heart rates up before and during the races.
Ken Roczen’s pants almost blend in with the surroundings.
Will Colt Nichols walk away with an even bigger points lead after Saturday’s race or will Christian Craig catch up to his teammate?
A handful of Ogio bags, cases, and pelicans being unloaded from the Star Yamaha truck.
Even the GasGas team leaves their bags lying wherever.
Got wheels?
At this point, Justin Barcia is almost guaranteed a 4th place finish in the championship unless he makes a disastrous move. But a 4th place finish for GasGas’s first time racing Supercross is still very impressive.
