Round 14 of the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross is a special one. Why do you ask? Because the West Coast 250 riders are back! They have been on a 4-month hiatus from racing. Their last race was in San Diego on February 8th with Dylan Ferrandis taking the win. Dylan has a 7 point lead over his teammate, Justin Cooper, and a 13 point lead over Austin Forkner. Tonight starts the first of four rounds remaining of the 250 West Coast series. With the top riders healthy and hungry it will make for some interesting racing.

Also, you have to take into consideration what 250 West riders will be affected by the heat and elevation in Salt Lake. The last three rounds in Salt Lake are evidence that these conditions affect the riders. Riders such as Ken Roczen and Tyler Bowers are examples of the elevation catching up to them. On the other side of things, you have Eli Tomac who doesn’t look like he is breaking a sweat out there as he lives and trains at an even higher elevation back at home in Colorado.

Travis Fant, MXA‘s and Dirt Bike magazine camera operator switched positions with DarylEcklund (he had to get back to finish a magazine) for the remaining four rounds of racing. Travis is not only a great videographer, but he also has photo skills as you will see over the next four rounds of racing. Check out what Travis caught in the Supercross pits in Salt Lake City.

Even though every person who enters Rice Eccles stadium has to get a positive COVID test to enter, you still have to get your temperature checked every time you enter. Jett Larence gets cleared to enter the pits.
