DAYTONA SUPERCROSS | 2018 HIGHLIGHTS
With round ten of the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross season approaching quickly, we wanted to look back at last year’s Daytona Supercross to remember all of the craziness that went on. In the 450 main event Eli Tomac crashed on the first lap and came from 22nd place to finish 2nd, only 4.5 seconds behind the first-time winner Justin Brayton. At 33-years old, Justin Brayton became the oldest rider to ever win a 450 Supercross main event. It was a huge accomplishment for Justin and it seemed like the whole industry was happy to see him get a win.
In the 250 main event it was Jordon Smith who grabbed the win, Jeremy Martin finished second with Austin Forkner third and Zach Osborne fourth. Forkner’s podium at Daytona gave him enough points to tie Zach Osborne for the points lead going into St. Louis and because Austin had more wins, the tie-breaker went to the youngster from Missouri.
