DREAM JOBS: LIVING WHAT YOU LOVE
LUC CAOUETTE – OWNER OF C4MX
STARTING POINT: “I’m Canadian, and I became friends with Marco Dube when he raced the Canadian Nationals. I started helping him out in 1994. I went to the races with him and wrenched on his bikes. At the end of 2001, Eric Kehoe got me a job at Yamaha of Troy working for Greg Schnell and Rodrig Thain. In 2003, I became the engine guy, which was the start of what I do now. From 2006 through 2009, I was the engine builder for factory Yamaha.”
THE JOB: “I started my own business, called C4MX, in 2009. My goal is to offer the same bike setup and power to the Amateurs that the Pros get. I am a one-man band. Recently, I have been doing a lot of research on NASCAR engines. I have taken that knowledge and used it in the development of the smaller dirt bike engines, which has been a great success.”
