DREAM JOBS: HOW TO MAKE A LIVING DOING WHAT YOU LOVE (10/13/11)

CASEY LYTLE
KTM RACE TEAM COORDINATOR

STARTING POINT: “I started with KTM as a test rider when my racing career started to slow down at the end of 2003. When team manager Larry Brooks left, I filled in for the second half of the year. I worked in customer service for a little while. And when the team started back up, I moved back to racing. Getting to work with Roger DeCoster this year has been really awesome.”

THE JOB: “I make sure that the special parts from Austria get here. I make sure the JDR team gets its parts, which goes through us. I make sure that we meet our contractual obligations; I book flights, hotels and rental cars for the mechanics and team. When we get to the race, the truck driver and I film a little bit, then show the films and print the lap times and results for the riders. I make sure we have everything from rags and towels to materials for the machines. Sometimes I make sure the practice Supercross track is in shape for testing.”
