PROTAPER BRAND MANAGER

STARTING POINT: “Raised in South Florida, I started racing at four years old. I turned pro at 16 years old. After chasing the pro ranks for a year after graduating from high school, I moved to Orlando, Florida, to enroll in the University of Central Florida and got a BA in legal studies. During that time I was working on the weekends as a mechanic to make some money. In October of 2008, I moved to California to take a job on the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team. I was there for five seasons.”

THE JOB: “I’m in charge of product development, marketing, sponsorship and advertising. It is my job to represent the brand and make sure our products, image and message is in line with what the brand stands for—premium control components. I am constantly trying to expand the product offerings and steer the brand to sales and growth success. I have a lot on my plate, but I really enjoy the responsibility that comes with it.”
