SHAWN RALLS — WORKS CONNECTION SALES/DESIGN/MARKETING

STARTING POINT: “I’ve always been a gear head with an obsession for anything with two wheels, so it was a stroke of good fortune when in the early ’90s I met the owner of Works Connection, Eric Phipps, through a mutual friend. We hit it off and ended up riding dirt bikes and mountain bikes together from then on. When Works connection’s growth and expansion of its product line created an opening at the company in 2001, Eric thought of me and I was given the opportunity to come on board.”

THE JOB: “I can be checking fitment on Monday, managing our website on Tuesday, coordinating export distributor orders on Wednesday and designing products on Thursday. It’s never the same routine day to day. Management allows me the freedom to deal with different facets of the company, and I absolutely love it.”
