EVERY MXDN TEAM ROSTER: EVEN THE COUNTRIES YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF
2015 MOTOCROSS DES NATIONS TEAMS
When Italy named it’s 2015 Motocross des Nations team, everybody was shocked. No Cairoli. No Phillipaerts. No Guarneri. No Lupino. Instead the Italian team will be Samuele Bernardini (24th in 250 GP points), Michele Cervellin (11th in EMX 250 points) and Ivo Monticelli (19th in 250 GP points). Italy wasn’t the only team with issues. Team USa lost the services of AMA 450 Champion Ryan Dungey and Eli Tomac. Belgium had to go without Kevin Strijbos and Clement Desalle. Belgium had to ask Ken DeDycker to rejoin the team. Ken Roczen says he won’t race on the German team because he wants to focus on the Monster Cup and his back problems. Luckily for Germany, Max Nagl has recovered from his broken ankle and will anchor the team. Arnaud Tonus is signed up for the Swiss team, but hasn’t raced much in 2015 because of a lingering illness (they already named an alternate to take his place just in case). Davy Pootjes has been replaced on the Dutch MXDN team by Nick Kouwenberg. The Aussie team lost Jay Wilson one week before the race. And Great Britain got a big scare when Shaun Simpson crashed in the first turn at the USGP and didn’t race either moto. But, Simposn says he’ll be at Ernee this Sunday. Here is a complete list of team, but no guarantees that they’ll all make it to the starting line.
