MXA TEAM TESTED: MOTION PRO T-6 COMBO LEVER:

WHAT IS IT? A portable, lightweight tire iron, axle wrench and socket all in one. You can remove the rear axle with one end of the tie iron, slip the socket drive in and remove the rim lock and, then, use the other end to pry the tire off the rim.

WHAT’S IT COST? $29.90 (lever), $17.99 (socket drive adapter).

WHAT STANDS OUT? Here’s a list of things that stand out with the Motion Pro T-6 Combo Lever.

(1) Function. Offroad riders will get the most bang for their buck out of these lightweight tools, but a motocross guy can’t help but admire a single tool that can remove the axle nut and pry a tire off a rim.

(2) Construction. The lightweight, 3.5-ounce tool is forged from 7075 aluminum and hard-anodized.

(3) Sizes. The tire irons can be ordered with 32mm, 27mm, 24mm, 22mm or 12/13 box ends. Additionally, 3/8-inch drive adapters are available for the 24mm, 27mm and 32mm levers.

(4) Performance. The spoon profile was on the thick side for most testers. The T-6 levers aren’t for casual tire changers. At less than ten inches, they don’t offer enough leverage for Mousse tubes or inexperienced users.

WHAT’S THE SQUAWK? We’d like to have a ratcheting socket drive.

We love this tool. It’s a winner for a guy looking for the ultimate do-it-all tool. But, the average Joe should stay away.
