MXA’S FIRST RIDE VIDEO: 2020-1/2 KTM 450SXF FACTORY EDITION DIRT BIKE

For this First Ride video, MXA heads out to Glen Helen to test out the new 2020-1/2 KTM 450SXF Factory Edition. We are please to announce that the 2020-1/2 Factory Edition 450 has more than just cosmetic updates, it also has all new suspension and new mapping. Sometimes, new suspension and new mapping isn’t exciting, but for this bike they made big changes. The forks have all new hardware internally which completely changed the settings from the 2020 model. When asked, the WP technicians didn’t say that they were looking for stiffer or softer, but they were looking for a new setting that broke through the crust on the air fork easier giving it a more plush feel. The shock remains the same for this model with updates to the settings and a stronger o-ring for durability purposes. We are also really happy about the mapping on this bike because they finally have a noticeable difference. Map 1 remains the stock map, while map 2 is aggressive and this year it is much more aggressive than before.

As usual, the new Factory Edition is a preview of what’s to come on next year’s model with a few extra upgrades. Some of the upgrades include the Akropovic slip-on exhaust, D.I.D DirtStar rims, orange hubs, factory CNC-machined triple clamps, skid plate, gripper seat cover and more.
