The Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame inducted motocrossers Stephan Gall and Jeff Leisk into the Hall at a ceremony in Melbourne this past week. In what is a great honor,  the two Aussie motocross heroes were part of a 2016 Hall of Fame group that included three-time Formula 1 Champion Sir Jack Brabham, 1980 Formula 1 Champion Alan Jones, five-time MotoGP Champion Mick Doohan, 1987 MotoGP Champion Wayne Gardner and two-time MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner.

Stephan Gall was the five-time Australian National Motocross Champion and four-time Mr. Motocross Champion. Jeff Leisk raced the AMA series from 1986 to 1988. He podiumed 12 times and was in the top ten in points in 7 out of the 8 Championships. Jeff then moved the FIM World Motocross Championships and became the first Australian to win a 500 GP and finished second in the 1989 500 FIM World Championships. Both Leisk and Gall are still heavily involved in Australian racing.
