GLEN HELEN RACEWAY SET TO HOST 2010 MTA WORLD VET MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP THIS WEEKEND

Glen Helen Raceway will be hosting the 2010 MTA World Vet Championships on November 6-7 on the famous USGP track. Veteran motocross racers like Doug Dubach, Ryan Hughes, Steve Lamson and Ron Lechien will be competing for purses of up to $6,000 during the weekend’s events. Entry information for the 2010 MTA World Vet Championships can be found online at www.glenhelen.com.

Dubach and Hughes battled for the Pro class title during last year’s World Vet Championships, with Dubach claiming victory in a stunning upset. Hughes had won the first moto by a significant margin, and was well on his way to taking the second before a flat tire took him out of the race. Hughes’ inability to complete the second moto left Dubach in the clear to take the moto-win and the overall victory. Hughes will be back with a vengeance for the 2010 races, and will be setting his sights firmly on Dubach in Sunday’s Over-30 main event.

Hughes isn’t the only racer that Dubach will have to contend with during the weekend’s races. Two time National Champion Steve Lamson will also be competing in Sunday’s 30+ event, and MXdN winner and 1985 125 National Champion Ron Lechien will be among the racers battling for the Over-40 title. With competition this fierce, this year’s World Vet Championship is certain to be full of excitement.
