GRAND PRIX OF GERMANY HIGHLIGHTS: ANOTHER NEW 250 WINNER & MAXIME RENAUX INJURED

Teutschenthal, Germany, was the host for this 11th round of the 2022 MXGP World Championship, where Team HRC’s Tim Gajser returned to winning ways, taking his seventh overall of the season and extending his points lead to 101. However, here was also a shake up in the MXGP championship standings as Yamaha Factory ride Maxime Renaux is out with several broken vertebrae after a crash in qualifying .

Thibault Benistant won the 250 GP with a 2-1 over Jago Geerts’ 1-2, while 250 points leader Tom Vialle’s bike broke, costing him the points lead. Benistant said, “I was happy to know that I was the winner this weekend. We have been working for this for a long time and I knew that I could win some races and even some GP’s, but we just had to wait and finally it happened so I’m happy with that.”
