HANGTOWN NATIONAL MOTOCROSS // 450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

HANGTOWN NATIONAL MOTOCROSS // 450 QUALIFYING RESULTS

The opening round of the 450 motocross class at Fox Raceway was an eye-opener. For one the deep field of factory riders have fallen like flies due to injuries and taking the Nationals off to race the World Supercross races. Two, the 450 rookie Jett Lawrence is the real deal. Sure Eli Tomac wasn’t there but Chase Sexton is no slouch and Jett looked like he was cruising out there. Was it a fluke? We don’t think so, Jett is a big deal and the competition is going to have to find a way to beat him.

450 QUALIFYING RESULTS //SESSION 1

Fan favorite, Aaron Plessinger looked good in practice and wasn’t far off the pace.

It was the factory KTM rider that clocked in the fastest lap in the opening laps. On lap 4, his teammate Aaron Plessinger beat Cooper out by a half second. In Jett Lawrence fashion he comes in with a fast lap later in qualifying to take the pole by over a second to his competition. Our vary own Josh Mosiman was running in the top 12 for a while with the top riders. He started to get shuffled back a bit but was still hanging with many of the top guys. Cooper Webb tried to knock Jett off the pole but only cut off a half second on Jett time. A surprise in qualifying was Ty Masterpool finishing 6th on qualifying. Josh finished in a respectable 19th position.
