JAMES STEWART TO BE INDUCTED IN AMA HALL OF FAME ON OCTOBER 28

James “Bubba” Stewart was a dominant force in AMA Pro Motocross and AMA Supercross, winning two AMA Supercross Championships (2007 and 2009), the 2008 450 National Championship, 2002 and 2004 125 National Championships, two Motocross des Nations titles and one of only two racers to ever complete a “perfect season” by winning every race and every moto in the 2008 AMA 450 Nationals. Known as the “The Fastest Man on The Planet” during his 2002 to 2016 AMA Pro career, Stewart’s innovative riding style had a large impact on the sport.

Hall of Fame inductees are selected from eight categories: Industry, Design, Dirt Track, Leadership, Motocross/Supercross, Off-Road, Road Racing and Specialty Competition. Stewart is the only motocrossers in the HoF class of 2022, he is joined by three-time AMA Grand National Champion Kenny Coolbeth, four-time World Speedway Champion Greg Hancock, the first woman to complete a transcontinental motorcycle ride Effie Hotchkiss, road road, drag race and flat track chassis designer Sandy Kosman and 2009 World Superbike Champion Ben Spies.

The October 28, 2022, induction ceremony will include a cocktail reception at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, followed by a dinner and induction ceremony at the nearby Violet Township Event Center on Friday evening, and the following day will include an open house and installation exhibit for the Class of 2022. AMA Hall of Fame Museum on the AMA campus.
