JASON ANDERSON VIDEO: TALKING ON HIS MINDSET & 2021 SUPERCROSS SEASON SO FAR
Jason Anderson is a unique character, he turned Pro in 2011 and it took a while for him to find success, but then things clicked. Jason started winning races and eventually titles in the 250 ranks and he became a 450 Supercross Champion in 2018. Jason was instrumental in putting Husqvarna on the map in AMA Supercross and motocross, now the brand has a 450 National Championship by Zach Osborne from the 2020 season. After winning his 450 Supercross title in 2018, the pressure of being number one weighed heavy on Anderson (as it does with every defending Champ). Jason has stated publicly, multiple times, that he didn’t like the added pressure and he’s always looking for ways to make his racing more fun and less serious. It’s evident if you follow Jason on social media that he doesn’t portray himself as the standard Pro racer. When other riders post about how hard they’re working, Jason likes to make it look like he doesn’t put in the effort, although we know that isn’t the case. Last year, after Covid put a pause on the Supercross season, Jason decided to leave Aldon Baker’s training program and now he’s doing his own program with help from former Pro cyclist, Darren Stockton. In this video, MXA’s Travis Fant follows Jason while he spins laps at Tyla Rattray’s facility in Florida and Travis gets an interview with Jason to learn more about his mindset towards racing, his season so far and he and his friend’s video/clothing company, Team Fried.
