JOSH GRANT OUT AT KAWASAKI; JOEY SAVATGY TOMAC’S NEW TEAMMATE
As announced on Instagram by Kawasaki, Pro Circuit Kawasaki 250 rider Joey Savatgy will move over to the Monster Energy Kawasaki 450 team—starting as soon as the Monster Cup. Savatgy has finishes second, third fourth (twice) and ninth in the 250 East/West series since starting in 2013.Under the rules, Savatgy was no longer legal in the 250 East/West series, so the move to become Eli Tomac’s teammate in the 450 class is a great opportunity.
Current Team Kawasaki rider Josh Grant has suffered from severe ankle injuries for the last three seasons missed the majority of the 2018 Supercross and National season. Josh only scored points in one 450 National moto and six Supercrosses in 2018. Grant turned Pro in 2004. No word on Grant’s plans for 2019.
