JUNE 10–TRAVIS PASTRANA INVOLVED IN CAR ACCIDENT

Early this morning we learned that team Sobe/Suzuki rider Travis Pastrana was involved in a severe car accident. Details at this time are few and far between, however, we do know that Pastrana was the driver of a new Corvette and that he also had a passenger with him. The crash, which is said to have happened sometime around 12:30a.m., occurred near his hometown of Davidsonville, Maryland. Pastrana and the passenger had to be airlifted to a local hospital, and after talking with Travis’ father Robert, the news is not good. “Travis will undergo surgery on several of his fingers and his thumb on his left hand. The terrible news is that the passenger has been paralyzed, although at the moment I do not know who the person is. I guess it was a friend of a friend of Travis’, but that’s all I know.” We have also learned that Travis suffered a head injury in the crash, but that the doctors have stopped the bleeding.
