JUSTIN BRAYTON WINS IN TOOWOOMBA…THAT’S IN OZ

Americans had both good and bad nights at the 2016 Australian Supercross Championships at Toowoomba Showgrounds. In the 450 class Justin Brayton won for the second-straight time on his borrowed Honda Genuine Racing CRF450. Wil Hahn was second on a National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki. Kyle Peters was fourth, right behind first Australian Dean Ferris. The only other American in the 450 field was Adam Entiucknap who finished seventh behind Aussiea Jay Marmont and Kade Mosig. Australian heroes Dan Reardon and Todd waters were both involved in crashes—with current Australian Supercross Champion Reardon finisihing 11th and Waters DNFing to an 18th.

In the 250 class Jackson Richardson, who has spent the last few years racing in America took the win after American Gavin Faith crashed out of the lead. Another U.S. based Aussie, Hayden Mellross, was second. Faith was five laps down in 20th place, while 2015 Australian Supercross Champion Jimmy Decotis finsihe sonly one lap in his heat race before dropped out for the night. With Faith finishing 20th and Decotis not racing, Hayden Mellross is the new 250 class points leader.
