You haven’t been following the races if you’re unaware of the misfortune that has befallen Yoshimura Suzuki. Both of their riders, James Stewart and Blake Baggett have dealt with a series of crashes and the injuries that come with it. While the team Yoshimura Suzuki did not call on a fill-in rider for the Supercross season, they brought in a rookie to the 450 class to keep their presence at the races. Matt Bisceglia. After moving from Geico Honda to Suzuki’s d 250 team in late 2015 (MAD Racing’s Yoshimura/Dirt Candy Suzuki), Bisceglia would go on to place 10 overall in the 2016 Supercross 250 East championship earning a podium in Toronto. While he parted ways with the 250 effort at the end of Supercross, the 450 team Yoshimura Suzuki hgave him the chance to fill in for both of their injured riders at Thunder Valley. He would place eighth overall after going 10-10 in Colorado. The team has just announced that Bisceglia will be back for High Point. Below is the official release.

Matt Bisceglia will return again this Saturday, June 18, at the High Point National in Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania, as fill-in for Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing. Team regulars Blake Baggett and James Stewart continue to rehab from injuries suffered earlier this season.“Matt did a great job for us at the last round in Lakewood, Colorado,” said Mike Webb, Yoshimura Suzuki team manager. “James and Blake are close, but not quite ready to return. Fortunately, Matt proved he’s fully capable of being competitive in the 450 class, even though Lakewood was his debut 450 National. Matt will ride with us this weekend and we hope to have James and Blake back by next week in Tennessee.” This will be Bisceglia’s second ride on the factory Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450. In Lakewood a couple of weeks ago, Bisceglia qualified 17th and got progressively quicker throughout the weekend. He raced to a 10-10 on the day earning eighth overall in his 450 class debut. “It felt great to be able to ride my first 450 national with Yoshimura Suzuki,” Bisceglia said. “Now I’m getting another opportunity and I’ll give it my best for team.
