MAYBE MATT MOSS DIDN’T BEAT P.J. LARSEN FOR THE AUSSIE 250 SUPERCROSS TITLE:
According to motoonline.com.au: “Global Action Sports competition director Kevin Williams has confirmed to MotoOnline.com.au that a review is currently being carried out in regards to the 2010 Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, Lites standings.”
Matt Moss was declared the Australian 250 Supercross Champion after this weekend’s final round, but under an Australian rule that requires a rider to finish 75 percent of the laps, it appears that there were rounds where both Moss and Larsen may have not done 75 percent of the laps, but got scored anyway.
The Aussie organization has confirmed that they are recounting points and…
P.J. Larsen twittered: “Controversy, Did I win or Moss? Should know in the next couple of days I hope… Points are pending and MA is working on the final say so now.”
Note: The “MA” that Larsen is referring to is Motorcycling Australia?the Aussie version of the AMA.
