MICHAEL SCHUMACHER CRASHES SUPERBIKE: FORMULA 1 CHAMPION CHECKS IN AN CHECKS OUT OF HOSPITAL
Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher escaped unhurt from a motorcycle crash in Spain this week.ÿ Schumacher riding a Team Holzhauer Honda CBR1000 Fireblade, was knocked out in the crash after banging his head on the tarmac.
“I had an accident at the biking tests in Cartagena,” said Schumacher, “and to be safe I went to a hospital. I was driving down the start-finish straight and when braking into the first corner I hit some bumps which made me fall. The checks in the hospital showed nothing and I am fine, therefore I went back home at the evening.”
Schumacher’s spokeswoman said the 40-year-old had been testing with his German Superbike team at the Cartagena circuit since Monday.
“Thanks a lot for the many wishes for recovery, but I am fine as well today.” said Schumacher from his home. “Maybe I am not as flexible as I usually am but all checks showed no results.”
