MOTOCROSS MXGP OF SARDINIA: VIALLE SWEEPS 250s, HERLINGS WINS 450s & TAKES POINTS LEAD
It’s only a one-point lead over Tim Gajser, but when you consider how far back Jeffrey was in points, it’s impressive. However, Tim Gajser is struggling with a broken collarbone and was destined to lose a bundle of points in Sardinia. Meanwhile, Tony Cairoli went down hard and had to be carried off on a stretcher— although post-race news is that he didn’t break anything. Romain Febvre is in third, only four points behind Herlings
In the 250 class, Tom Vialle’s 1-1 result, gave him his third 250 GP victory in a row, Vialle has now moved up to sixth in points. 250 points leader Maxime Renaux stood on the the second step of the podium. With Mattia Guadagnini having an unlucky day, Renaux has increased his 250 Championship points lead to 71 points, with Jago Geerts in third and Thibault Benistant moving up to fourth.
