There are hierarchies in motorsports, depending on who you are and where your interests lie, but Andrea Dovizioso is a man who races in the upper echelon of the MotoGP road racing sphere. So, it may seem strange to see Dovi’s eyes light up when he gets to come to SoCal between GP road races to ride at the local California motocross tracks.
Of course, it hasn’t helped his 2020 MotoGP season that back home in Italy he broke his collarbone at the local Italian motocross race in Faenza, Italy, before the series started — which didn’t sit well with his road race sponsors. It put him a little behind for the start of the the GP season and has led to a tense relationship with Ducati.
