MXA FIRST RIDE VIDEO: 2021 KTM 250SXF

The 2021 KTM 250SXF is finally in the MXA stables and we took the bike out to Glen Helen raceway to shake down the new model and provide our loyal MXA readers with our first impressions it after day one. To help us appreciate the changes, we made sure to bring last year’s 2020 KTM 250SXF out to the track as well so we could spin some laps with it back-to-back with the new model. KTM 250 won MXA’s 2020 250 Shootout and behind it was the Yamaha YZ250F, Husqvarna FC250, Honda CRF250, Kawasaki KX250 and Suzuki RM-Z250. Now, for 2021, the KTM is back with new WP XACT air forks, an updated shock setting with a new heat resistant o-ring, low friction SKF seals in the linkage, updated mapping, Dunlop MX33 tires instead of the MX3S tires and an orange rear fender and air box instead of the white fender and air box (which stained easily). For 2021, the engine stayed the same on the 250SXF. We’re excited to put this bike up against the rest of the new 250 models to see how it compares.
