450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS | 2021 ARLINGTON SUPERCROSS 3

The three-round residency in Arlington comes to a finale at the twelfth round of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season. The premier class is still extremely close, however, Cooper Webb’s momentum increases at each and every Arlington round, winning the first two in succession and grabbing hold of the Points lead. Unlike the 250 class, when it comes down to qualifying, there has yet to be a defined rider who always remains on top of the leaderboard. With a field so unbelievably stacked, the fastest lap time is just reaching distance of the top 10 riders. What seems to be the fastest season ever, the 2021 circuit only has four rounds left before the season finale in Salt Lake City, and the points lead can still be battled between Ken Roczen and Cooper Webb. But for now, we’re examining the fastest riders in AT&T Stadium for the last time. Find out down below who’s the fastest 450 rider in the premier class in Arlington.

450 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS

Is Arlington 3 the race Ken beats Cooper?

Ken Roczen grabbed the holeshot in the second qualifying session, leading the premier class. Within the first two laps, the 450 class already set remarkably fast lap times, just a second out from the fastest lap time. After two laps Cooper Webb grabbed the lead, and a half lap later, Eli Tomac would be the leader. Eli ran in a 48 second lap time with Ken eventually following in second place. A group of the 450s were following the large quad line, slicing time off their lap times. The top all were eventually sitting in the 48 second lap time margin. Chase Sexton moved up into third place, beating out Cooper Webb. A lap later, Cooper Webb would set a very fast lap time, squeezing past Chase. Eli still held onto the fastest lap time, just .100 of a second ahead of Ken. Chase moved past his teammate for second place, and eventually, Eli Tomac for first place.

450 GROUP A FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION

The 450 class has been having an easier time quading one of the rhythm sections that the 250s have struggled to clear.

Chase Sexton led the premier class with Jason Anderson just behind. Eventually, Jason got around Chase and took charge on the Arlington 3 track. One of the rhythm sections provided a very interesting option for going huge and hitting a massive quad. We noticed only a handful of the 250s attempted the massive jump but for the 450 class, it was considerably easier, but still had a huge risk/reward factor. Cooper Webb set a very fast lap time, but rookie Chase Sexton took it away from the points leader. Ken Roczen was the first to cross the 50 second margin time, jumping past the leaders with a 49.5 second lap time. Martin Davalos set a fast lap time sitting in third but went down a lap later. Justin Barcia was second for crossing into the 49 second lap time with Jason Anderson being the third. Eli Tomac followed suit but a lap later, Ken broke into the 48 second lap time. Ken Roczen remained to be the fastest rider in Arlington 3 with a 48.8 second lap time.
