Powersport Media, founded by Sean Finley, Bryan Robb and Jesse Ziegler, will to take over the ownership of Cycle News. According to Powersports Media, it will be will be business as usual for the Cycle News website and digital magazine. Kit Palmer will remain the editor with Rennie Scaysbrook and Sunny Kwon staying in place also. This the second website and digital outlet that the MAG Group has divested itself in the last two weeks. They shuttered “Motorcycle USA’s” website and digital mag last week (letting Adam Waheed and Adam Booth go). Cycle News has been around for over 50 years, although it gave up its weekly print newspaper years ago and went all digital. It was purchased by the MAG Proup five years ago, but will now be under the experienced leadership of Sean Finley and company at Powersport Media. MXA wishes Cycle News well under their new team—especially because several MXA guys worked at Cycle News in the past—most notably Jody Weisel and Ketchup Cox in the 1970s.
