RAPID RESULTS! 2020 ITALIAN GRAND PRIX—THE FIRST OF 9 ITALIAN GPs (UPDATED)

The Faenza Grand Prix track.

Believe it or not, the 2020 world Motocross Championships are quickly becoming an all-Italian series. There will be 9 Grands Prix held in Italy in the coming weeks, starting with a first triple-header at the old Faenza track, a second one on Wednesday and a third one on Sunday, September 13. Then, the MXGP circus will move to Mantova, Italy, for another triple-header before leaving Italy (although they will be back after the Lommel, Belgium triple-header for Italian rounds 7, 8 an 9 at Trentino, Italy).

Doing well in Italy will determine who the 2020 World Motocross Champion will be.

Maxime Renaux won his first-ever 350 Grand Prix at Faenza.

Jago Geerts (193) took the first 250 GP moto in Faenza, but finished third in moto 2 to make Maxime Renaux’s 2-1 the overall winner.

Jeffrey Herlings won the first of the nine 450 GPS to be held in Italy in the coming weeks. It was the 90th Grand Prix win of his career.
