REM GLEN HELEN RACE REPORT: SUNDAY IN THE PARK

Glen Helen was a busy place this weekend. It had the King of the Hammers offroad truck race Saturday on both motocross tracks, a quad race on Sunday and the typical REM Saturday race moved to Sunday on the REM track. The park was jam-packed with RV, trailers, motor homes and pickup trucks. Finding a place to park was often difficult. As a rule REM only races on Saturdays, but the busy scheduling of events at Glen Helen forced a schedule change. It didn’t seem to phase the local racers, as they kicked back on Saturday at home and showed up Sunday ready to race. Here are the photos shot by Debbi Tamietti, Dan Alamangos, Rich Stuelke and Jon Ortner during the day.

richstuelekWe are positive that the principal of your high school wasn’t a motocross racer, but Rich Stuelke is. When he retired, he took up photography…motocross photography, between his own motos, of course. You can see his weekly photos at www.motophotollc.com.
