SUMMER IN SOCAL IS SIZZLING
As you can see, it will cool down at Glen Helen this weekend to a balmy 105. Guess what? Racers gotta race. We’ll take it
We can’t say that SoCal’s blazing hot June is the result of global warming, because that would fail to explain why the current temperatures are breaking record set decades ago, but we can tell that it is hot. Last Sunday at Glen Helen it was 111-degrees (this Sunday it was 105). You know it’s bad when racers are looking forward to it cooling down to 105-degrees this weekend, before going back up again next Monday. Two of the year’s toughest races were held on this scorching weekend: The Prairie Dogs “Last Dog Standing” endurance race on Saturday and the “10 Hours of Glen Helen” on Sunday. Amazingly, there were riders who raced both grueling events. MXA’s Kiyoshi Becker braved to heat to go to the “Last Dog Standing” to shoot photos—guess what? Finishing was good enough.
Check out a couple of Kiyoshi’s best from Glen Helen (you can see more by clicking here).
Falling into the mud hole would normally be a disaster, but when it’s this hot, it might actually feel good.
When it’s 111-degrees you try to find shade where ever it may be.

Four of the top ten videos are of 2017 bikes (KTM 250SX, Husky FC250, Kawasaki KX450F and Husqvarna TX300). These are not the MXA videos with the most hits, just the 10 latest videos we have produced. You can watch our most popular video of all time—the one that has 734,444 views below:

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO MXA AND MAKE MONEY
The July 2016 issue of MXA is on the news stands now, but if you subscribed you would get a $25 gift certificate from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC for subscribing.
Do you subscribe to MXA? You should. We know that you think that print magazines are dead and that the internet will fill the void, but most of the stuff in the current issue of MXA won’t appear on the web for several months, if at all. Luckily, you can get all of MXA on your iPhone, iPad, Kindle or Android by going to the Apple Store, Amazon or Google Play. Better yet get the Digital desktop version at https://hi-torque.com/product/motocross-action-digital-edition/ for $9.99 a year. The MXA test riders prefer the print version and not just because it is delivered by a uniformed employee of the U.S. Government, but because for only $19.99 you get 12 issues and a free $25 Gift Card from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. That means that there is a profit to be made in this deal for you. For the Print magazine go to: http://hi-torque.com/product/subscribe-to-motocross-action-magazine/
THEY WAY WE WERE: THE WAY WE WORE (IN 1979)
Following the demise of all-leather racing pants, the nylon age began. Griffs used something called Griffilar 4384 (which we now call Cordura). It was five times more abrasion resistant than leather and five times less hip.
