• TWILIGHT ZONE SEASON, WHERE DID ALL THE RIDERS GO?

Eli Tomac (1) is one of only three factory riders to have scored points in all 15 rounds. Yes, he has backed it down in a few races (Anaheim 2,  Tampa, Indy and Atlanta) claiming self preservation, but he’s leading the 450 title chase with two rounds to go.

Through the Nashville Supercross, of the 40 riders who have score AMA 450 Supercross points this year, only 7 riders have officially scored points in all 15 of the. completed races leading up to the final two races in Denver and Salt Lake City. It should be noted that three of the 7 (Justin Barcia, Cooper Webb and Jason Anderson) got hurt at Nashville and will miss the Denver and Salt Lake City rounds)—meaning that only three factory riders who started the season are still going. Of the five riders who have scored points at every race,  two are on privateer teams—Dean Wilson (Firepower Honda) and Justin Hill (Tedder KTM).  In short, the only factory riders with a chance to  earn points at every round are Eli Tomac (Yam), Chase Sexton (Hon) and Ken Roczen (Suz).

Factory riders missing two or more races this Supercross series were Aaron Plessinger (KTM), Christian Craig (Hus), Adam Cianciarulo (Kaw), Colt Nichols (Hon), Dylan Ferrandis, Malcolm Stewart (Hus) and Marvin Musquin (KTM).

Chase Sexton (23) crashed enough times in the 2023 AMA 450 Supercross Championship to make people wonder how he could be so unlucky to crash so many times, yet lucky enough to avoid injury for 15 straight races.

Ken Roczen (94) knows more about Supercross injuries than anyone on the track. As a man who is lucky to still be able to race, we don’t expect him to take any big risks.

Cooper Webb was the only rider to  be in the top five in every race—until his season ending crash in Nashville.

Jason Anderson’s 2023 Supercross season is over. He hurt his neck at Nashville and will miss Denver and Salt Lake,

Justin Hill (46) is currently 8th in 450 points, thanks to scoring AMA points in all 15 rounds, but he has only made the top five once and top ten six times

Dean Wilson (15) is tenth in 450 points. He has only cracked the top ten  four times, but he scored points at the first 15 rounds of the 17-round series.

Adam Cianciarulo (9) missed three races due to injuries (Arlington, Daytona and East Rutherford). He is 9th in 450 points.

Aaron Plessinger 2023-Seattle-Supercross-8271Aaron Plessinger (7) missed the last two rounds (East Rutherford and Nashville) with injuries. He is 7th in points and could be back for the final two rounds.

Christian Craig 2023 Seattle Supercross-9245Christian Craig (28) was having a mediocre season, but showed improvement from Daytona on. However, he suffered a bad crash in practice at  Glendale and missed the last four races (and will miss the final two in Denver and Salt Lake City). He hopes to be back sometime early in the 2023 AMA 450 Nationals.

Dylan Ferrandis (14) only scored points at the first four rounds before having to sit out the next 11 races. Since healing up, he has stuck to outdoor testing for the AMA Nationals.

Colt Nichols’s best finish of the year was last week in Nashville when he finished 4th overall, but he missed four races (Daytona, Indy, Detroit and Seattle).

Malcolm Stewart 2023 San Diego Supercross-8331Malcolm Stewart raced two races before pulling out of the Supercross series to have knee surgery.

Marvin Musquin 2023 Anaheim 1 Supercross-3684Marvin Musquin signed a Supercross-only deal for 2023, but only made it through Anaheim 1, where he finished 12th, before suffering a wrist injury that sidelined him for the rest of the series. At some point in the 2023 Supercross series, KTM lost Marvin Musquin, Aaron Plessinger and Cooper Webb to injuries.

• SHOWA FACTORY A-KIT SUSPENSION FOR HONDA CRF250/450 MOTORCYCLES

The latest Showa 2023 Factory A-Kit Suspension is now available through Andreani USA’s network of powersports dealers. Showa A-kit suspension has been the leading suspension systems for hard-core motorcycle racers. and Andreani USA recently introduced the Factory A-Kit setup featuring advanced technology and high-end materials that offer riders greater comfort, control, and fine-tuning capabilities.

• SEE WHAT LUC DE LEY DOES FOR FUN

MXA endurance test riders are normally assigned what bikes they race because their job is to put race hours on test bikes, because the high-profile MXA test riders are busy with the new bikes each month. This is Luc on a 2023 GasGas MC250F.

Luc prefers to race 250 four-strokes or 125 two-strokes, but once he raced MXA’ s2023 KTM 300SX, he fell in love.

Luc De Ley was a Saddleback Specialist back in the 1980s, but came back to racing after a few years off and now races every week.

However, this is Luc De Ley’s favorite ride. He built it from the ground up.
