IMPORTANT RACE INFO

(1) Every rider must check-in at Sign-up—which is located at the main tower on the National track
(2) Riders will need to sign release forms
(3) Riders that are minors must have a parent or legal guardian come with them to sign-up and sign releases
(4) Riders renting a transponder must have Driver’s license—DL will be kept until the transponder is returned
(5) Riders with their own transponder make sure to have the 7 digits number or the transponder when you come to sign-up
(6) Gate Pick for the 1^st motos will be in the order the  Pre-Entries were received and then Post Entries
(7) Second moto gate pick will be based on your first moto finish
(8) Jumping or passing at the site of a yellow flag will be punishable by losing positions or laps.
(9) Trophies and Prizes will be 1st through 5th for all classes
(10) 50cc and 65cc on the Peewee Track are 100% Trophies

Pierce Brown had nothing to smile about at last week’s St. Louis Supercross. His bike was damaged in a first moto crash, that wasn’t his fault, resulting in a DNF, then his bike DNF’ed the second moto and when it finally did run for moto three, he crashed.

The Swedish-designed Flip guards look like nomral fork guards, but…

MXA contacted the New West Flipguard guys in Sweden after last week’s intro to get an update on their products. Here is what they told us:

(1) They don’t have  U.S. distributor yet, but are working on it. Currently they are only selling in Sweden.
(2) They don’t have their website with very much info on it, but do have two videos on YouTube: https://youtu.be/jFpn2BhUMYIand https://youtu.be/cMEeF4s973A
(3) The benefits of the NWE Flipguard is that it makes front fork maintenance easy and fun. The folding function gives you the needed space for periodic maintenance without the need for removing the mud guard. That means that the wear on the threads in the fork lugs is minimized, since the FlipGuard bolts are mounted only once. The NWE Flipguard gives the owner added accessibility to the fork and seals when cleaning. With that said, the extra cost of the NWE Flipguards compared to regular mud guards, is paid for if you don’t need forks seals as often.
(4) Flipguards currently fit KTM; Husqvarna, GasGas and Sherco, but they are working on Yamaha forks next because the  inner screw is basically impossible to remove without removing the wheel.

They can be flipped down to make it easier to clean muck out of the bottom of your fork legs.

The Flipguard makes it easy to get compacted mud off the bottom of the fork leg, where it often gets ground into the fork seal. They are available in Black or White.
