WHAT THE FUTURE KTM X-BOW GT2 SPORTS CAR WILL LOOK LIKE
There will be a new KTM X-Bow GT2 car based on the X-Bow later this year. Powered by a 2.5-liter Audi five-cylinder engine, the car will produce around 600 horsepower, similar to Audi’s GT2 model, but will still meet SRO’s targeted power-to-weight ratio thanks to its lightweight design of around 1000 kilograms. The KTM GT2 will become the third confirmed model for SRO’s new GT2 formula, joining the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport and Audi R8 LMS GT2. The test version was raced in the 24 Hours of Barcelona six months ago.
KTM will offer both the GT2 model and a GTX model that is designed as a track-day car. KTM is having 20 cars build by KTM Sportcar GmbH thatwill be available later this year, but the race version of the KTM X-Bow GT2 car still has to be homologated before it will be approved. The MXA wrecking crew tested the KTM X-Bow Comp-R last year at Sonoma Raceway, you can read about it by Clicking Here.
SURPRISE OF THE WEEK! DUNGEY LEAVES GEICO HONDA

ITALIAN MOTOCROSS TRACKS CLOSED BECAUSE OF CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK IN ITALY
What the Ottobiano track looked like before it was closed…hopefully temporarily.
Italy is now the European epicenter for the Wuhan, China, originated coronavirus. This past weekend in Italy the viruis spread rapidly. On Friday morning, there were only three confirmed cases in Italy, but, by Monday, more than 215 had been confirmed and a sixth person had died. Italian authorities put 12 towns on lockdown and closed some of the country’s most famous attractions to curb the virus’ spread. That list of closed businesses includes motocross tracks. many of the tracks in Northern Italy, including Ottobiano, Cremona, Bellinzago, Dorno Chieve and Crotta are closed. The first MXGP race isn’t until April 6th—so there is a wait and see approach to what might happens.

CLASSIC MXA TEST RIDER PHOTOS: LANCE MOOREWOOD ON THE 1987 HUSKY 510
The Husky 510 was actually a 503cc, water-cooled engine that featured Husqvarna’s unique RAL (Reed Activated Lubrication) system. The engine was great, but the front forks were terrible and it had serious understeer in the corners. This bike was tested in the September 1986 issue.
AMA RULE OF THE WEEK: HOW OLD IS TOO OLD?
Everyone knows that a rider must be 16 years old to race the AMA Nationals or Supercross series, but did you know that there is an upper limit of 50 years old on being allowed entry to an AMA Pro race? If a 50-year-old wants to race he must get a doctor to sign a certificate of fitness (with an electrocardiogram).
Over the last couple years Arizona’s Ed Foedish has been the only 50-year-old to try to qualify for an AMA National. Foedish was fourth in the Over-50 Pro class at the World Vet in 2015, third in 2016, ninth in 2017, third in 2018 and 14th in 2019.
