SILLY SEASON IN HOLLAND IS CALLED “KOMKOMMERTIJD”

silvill0The big news on the Grand Prix circuit is the arrival of Ryan Villopoto — who said his choices were to retire or race the GPs.

sicairoliTony Cairoli is just one of 26 other guys on Austrian bikes…and we mean number one.

If you count Husqvarna alongside KTM in the 2015 World Championships, there will be 26 KTM/Husky mounted riders in the series next year. That includes the KTM factory team, Wilvo Forkrent team, Marchetti team, Hitachi team, Sakhar team, Ice One team, Wilvo Nestaan team and Ricci Racing team. The riders combined in these eight teams include Tony Cairoli, Jeffrey Herlings, Tommy Searle, Rui Goncalves, Max Nagl, Tanel Leok, Shaun Simpson, Jose Butron, Jake Nicholls, Ken DeDycker, Dean Ferris, Alek Tonkov and more.

sillbobbyBobby got to stay at Honda, but Max Nagl was sent packing.

The next largest contingent is from Honda. They will have 11 riders highlighted by Gautier Paulin, Evgeny Bobryshev, Christophe Charlier, Tim Gajser, Alessandro Lupino and Filip Bengtsson.

silanstieMax Anstie is back at Bike-It Yamaha.

Yamaha will have 9 riders in the GP series split between five teams (Factory, Kemea Retec, Bike-it Cosworth, DP19 and Standing Construct) The factory team will be Jeremy Van Horebeek and Romain Febvre. Other notable riders are David Philippaerts, Max Anstie, Julien Lieber and Valentin Guillod.

silcovingtThomas Covington will start his second year in Europe — he has no years in AMA Supercross or Nationals.

Kawasaki has two teams for a total of 5 riders. Ryan Villopoto will team with Tyla Rattray on the factory KRT Monster team, while Jordi Tixier, Dylan Ferrandis and Thomas Covington will be on the CLS Monster team.

silstrijbos8Suzuki stood pat with Desalle and Strijbos.

Suzuki will have two Rockstar-backed teams. The main Suzuki team will be Clement Desalle and Kevin Strijbos, while the European team will be Glenn Coldenhoff, Jeremy Seewer and Brian Hsu.
