TAKE A LAP OF TODAY’S 2018 THUNDER VALLEY NATIONAL TRACK
Thunder Valley is unique to the 2018 AMA National Motocross schedule in that it is the only one held at high elevation–which puts a burden on the engine’s ability to make power and the rider’s VO2 uptake. It is a great viewing track, especially from the pit side, but most Colorado fans sit on a hill to the left of the pits and watch from that high vantage points. At this early stage in the motocross series the 450 class appears as though it will eventually turn into a Roczen versus Tomac battle—with Musquin, Anderson and Barcia waiting in the wings.
As for the 250 National Motocross Championship, everyone assumed that Zach Osborne would walk away with the crown again, but Aaron Plessinger shocked Zach at Glen Helen—and the Martin brothers aren’t far behind.
