THE 2001 POWERSPORTS TRADE SHOW IN INDY–FEB 22

We made the trip to the Powersports Trade Show in Indianapolis aboard a 1942 re-modeled hot air balloon with a small kitchenette. It took us almost three weeks, but we made it. The landing was spectacular. We set the balloon down atop the RCA Dome Convention Center in Indianapolis right at sunset and made our way into the greatest motorcycle show in the world. Here are some of the cool new products we got to check out.

Number 73: This is a yellow Acerbis CR250. Have you ever seen a yellow Honda CR250? This is the first one we have ever seen.

Answer Gear: Answer is offering a new line of Vented gear this Fall. That’s right, “Vented.”

Cannondale Enduro: The New Enduro model Cannondale was on display in Indy. We hope to see the MX model come with the same plastic.

KX 250: Mad Mike Jones sent his bike straight from the Winter X Games to be on display in Indy.

M2R Helmet: We got a sneak peek at M2R’s new lightweight helmet, worn by Stephane Roncada.

Renthal’s Footpeg: Renthal introduced the first mass-produced aluminum footpeg in Indy.ÿÿÿ

Scott High Voltage Goggle: New for 2001, the HighVoltage is Scott’s first serious departure from the 89 Goggle.

Spy Targa: The Targa is a new entry level goggle from Spy featuring I-Mac inspired translucent frames.
