THIS WEEK IN MXA #7: 250 EAST VS. WEST, WHICH ONE IS HARDER?

The 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season has completed Round 6 in Indianapolis and now the riders have their sights set on the 2021 Orlando Supercross 1 this Saturday, February 13th. So far, the 450 class has provided some very exciting racing this season and we hope to see the ball continue rolling. But, unfortunately the 250 East division has been greatly hindered by injuries. Not only are top factory riders like Austin Forkner, Rj Hampshire, Max Vohland and now, Michael Mosiman out with injury, but we also are missing some top privateer riders and top privateer teams. Enzo Lopes is a solid contender riding for the Phoenix Racing Honda team and he was injured at the season opener in qualifying. Jess Pettis, factory Red Bull KTM of Canada rider was also looking strong coming into the season and he was injured in qualifying as well. Plus, the ClubMX Yamaha team usually rides the 250 East division and they have a strong team with Garrett Marchbanks, Joey Crown and Jace Owen for 2021, but they’re waiting to go racing in the 250 West region which kicks off at Orlando #2. In this video, MXA’s Josh Mosiman talks on the subject of 250 East vs. 250 West, also touching on the Vince Friese vs. Justin Barcia situation, our latest interview with Justin Brayton and more.
