TIM WEIGAND’S AUSTRALIAN ADVENTURE DERAILED BY THE FICKLE FINGER OF FATE
ÿÿÿÿTim Weigand moved to Australia this season to contest the Australian Supercross and Nokia National Championships for the Motorex KTM Racing Team. Weigand broke his finger and injured his wrist during a practice session in preparation for the sixth round of the Nokia Australian Championship and has flown back the USA for immediate surgery. Tim hopes to be healed up in time for the resumption of the Australian Supercross season, which he leads. Weigand will miss the rest of the outdoor series. He was ninth in points in the outdoors.
ÿÿÿÿ”I’m disappointed to have injured myself halfway through the Motocross Championship, but I feel confident I will be back fighting fit for the remaining Supercross rounds, said Weigand.
