UPDATED POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 14 OF 17)

The 14th round of the 2023 Monster Energy Supercross season is upon us as the clash of the East and West coast has finally arrived. While the points may not be the most exciting in the 250 class, we have been eager to see the Lawrence bros duke it out to find out who’s quickest. But the question stands: Will Hunter Lawrence be able to clinch the title? Will Jett race him to the checkers? The only thing we do know for a fact is that both of the Honda riders have dominated this season.

Meanwhile in the 450 class, things got interesting earlier in the day as points leader Eli Tomac took a spill resulting in him limping off of the course. He would later regroup his energy and get back to racing after hitting his knee pretty hard. Cooper Webb is only six points behind the leader but we have a feeling that Chase Sexton is putting on a secret late season charge for the title.

However, all of our predictions would go flying out of the window as the racing was put on a pause due to lightning and an insane downpour. After returning over an hour later, the track resembled something similar to WW2 trenches and the riders would have to battle in the mud.

450 CLASS POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 14 OF 17)

What seemed like a redemption night for Chase Sexton would go backwards as Chase held the lead in the muddy 450 Main until a small bump from Justin Barcia’s back tire would cause the 23 to tumble in the mud. Chase recovered and rode up to fourth but it didn’t help that the points leader Eli Tomac would also recover from his bad start, riding up to second. Cooper Webb, second in the points, would finish in fifth giving the points leader even more breathing room in the championship.

250 WEST CLASS POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 6 OF 9)

Just like his brother, and the rest of the 250 field, nothing went accordingly to plan for Jett as Max Anstie led the race and Jett would be found dodging and weaving in the mud soaked course. Jett eventually snuck his way up to second when Rj Hampshire, who sat in third, re-enacted his baseball days, sliding into the final turn causing himself to go down and used Jett as a backboard. Jett kept it moving while Rj would be unable to get his bike started again.
