WALKING WOUNDED: ALEX MARTIN’S 250 TITLE HOPES IN DOUBT

Alex Martin will miss Washougal this Saturday.

Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Alex Martin injured his collarbone and scapula after going down while practicing in Florida on Tuesday. He will miss this weekend’s round at Washougal MX Park and will undergo further evaluation from a second doctor to find out his return timeline. Martin had recently been on a podium streak and was running second in the 250 Class point’s standings.
Martin is currently second in 250 points with four races left. He is now 43 points behind leader Zach Osborne. If he misses Washougal, and loses 40 to 50 points, he could fall to third in points, as much as 93 points behind with three races left.
