WATCH THE 2023 HANGTOWN NATIONAL IN UNDER 20 MINUTES: SAVING FOUR HOURS & 20 MINUTES

We might as well admit it, the 450 class is a snooze-fest. It had a a moment of drama a week ago when Chase Sexton proved that he could run Jeff Lawrence’s pace at Pala, but that glimmer of hope only lasted until Tuesday when Chase crashed in practice and suffered a concussion (and while he was at the hospital they told him that he also had mononucleosis). That left only Aaron Plessinger, Cooper Webb, Adam Cianciarulo and Dylan Ferrandis as potential contenders.

Meanwhile in the 250 class, Haiden Deegan won the first 250 National moto of his short careers, but couldn’t back it up in the second moto, as Hunter Lawrence’s 3-1 bested Justin Cooper’s 2-2 and Haiden Deegan’s 1-4
