WATCH THE 250/450 GRAND PRIX OF ARGENTINA IN UNDER 8 MINUTES

You might have some confusion over how the winners of the 250 and 450 Argentinian Grand Prix are not the points leaders after the first round. It seems like a math error. However, this difference will only be so obvious at this round since the first round of the 2023 World Motocross Championships has so few points. How did this happen? The series promoters decided to pay points for Saturday’s qualifying races (10 points for first, down to 1 point for tenth). The bonus points earned in Saturday’s qualifiers are not added to Sunday’s race scores, but are instead added to the rider’s overall points standings. Once the points totals get larger, you will not be able to readily see how the race results and the season points differ.
